STAGE 27

A
CHRISTMAS TWIST

BY The illegitimate players

"You are as harsh as a gruel enema"

Stage 27 proudly presents The Illegitimate Players' 'A Christmas Twist' - a darkly humorous Dickensian satire of Christmas excesses and all too familiar characters! Join us for an evening of comedy and nostalgia, as we introduce you to a mixture of characters from Charles Dickens' literary world, all bizarrely interwined to celebrate and embrace the Christmas season in the most unlikely way.

Meet Scrooge, Tiny Twist (a gargantuan twenty-ish boy), the legendary Mr Fagin and his booty grabbing imps, Mr Bumble, the Cratchits, Little Orphan Annie, and the infamous ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future - all garishly dressed to celebrate the Christmas cheer and show old Scrooge the error of his miserly ways. A mixture of Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol, these infamous characters are thrown together to create a whole new take on
the goodness of people
, equipped with some priceless and snappy dialogue that you will be repeating for days afterwards. A Christmas Twist will keep you endlessly entertained and we hope you will bring the family along to kick off the Christmas season!

Stage 27 will be performing at three community venues in order to raise funds and awareness of the Group. Refreshments will be available during the interval, and performances are suitable for all the family.
