“Oh Grandmother, what big teeth you have…All the better to eat you with!” Stage 27 performed an intriguing evening of the mythical folklores and legends that are The Grimm Tales to much acclaim in January 2009. A journey was taken back in time to the stories that you knew as a child - the dark yet comical fables that taught you the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, and that too many sweeties or being nasty to your step-sister could be your ultimate downfall! Stage 27 staged this adaptation of one of the Grimm Brothers' most famous works as part of a venture performance in three community venues across Birmingham in order to raise awareness & funds for the Group and future performances. Performances were suitable for people and families of all shapes, sizes and ages - just the way the Witch likes them.... TALES PERFORMED: Ashputtel
