Carol Morton is the presenter of a morning TV show, wearing pastel jumpers ad a silly smile. But when the tabloids reveal that she will be sacked for her poor performance, she us ready for a showdown wh neurotic producer Marjorie and intellectual researcher Joe. She is betrayed even by her agent David. She explodes in frustration minutes before the show, and goes on set slightly scruffy, dressed n black. David likes what he sees in her new-found determination and turns it to his advantage, as ever. An intriguing look behind the gliitter of broadcasting to the cut-and-thrust reality!
